How a message gets out

Everything inside the network is free. Leaving it costs gas, and that gas is a real transfer your wallet signs.

01

A server-issued nonce, signed by your wallet and verified against your address. Nothing else is stored about you.

02

Address it

A 0x address, an ENS name, or an ordinary email address. ETHMail works out which side of the bridge it belongs on.

03

Pay the gas

Only for outbound mail. Metered per byte, quoted in USD, settled in SHCX, ETH, BTC, SOL or TRX.

04

Relay

The payment is verified on its own chain — recipient and amount — and only then is the message handed to the mail relay.

Heads up

Outbound mail moves real funds. The fee is a plain transfer to the operator's treasury on whichever chain you pick — Ethereum for the generic EVM option. Check the coin and the amount before confirming anything.
